Agenda, Newsletters, & Folders
Agendas
Your child's agenda is very important. Homework will be recorded daily as well as special events at Woodson and your child's daily behavior score. Additionally, weekly spelling words will be found in agendas to be used with homework and to study.
Please make sure to check and sign your child's agenda every night and feel free to contact us through agendas as well.
Newsletters
Newsletters will come every week on Monday. The newsletter will keep you up to date on upcoming events as well as inform you on the topics that your child will be learning about that week and their weekly spelling words.
Folders
This year your child will have 3 different folders that will be important for them.
Green Folders (Homework)- This folder shoudl stay with your child at all times. Homework will come home in these folders and should be returned to school in them as well. Additionally, the folder may be used to send home documents that need your attention (newsletters, permission slips, etc.) Please help your child with checking this folder daily.
Blue Folders (Graded papers)- This folder will come home every Tuesday and should be empited out and returned on Wednesdsay. It will contain all graded work from the prior week.
Red Folders (Make Up Work)- This folder will NOT come home. On days that your child is absent missing work will be collected in their red folder and given back to them on the day that they return to school. It is their responsibilty to make sure that this work gets placed into their homework folder and returned the their teacher wwhen complete. County policy gives students 3 days per day absence to complete and return make up work.
